Burger King Corp. Partners With Habitat For Humanity Of Greater Miami To Build Home For Local Burger King® Restaurant Employee

MIAMI – Oct. 26, 2009 – Burger King Corp. (NYSE:BKC) is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami (Fla.) to make a difference in the life of a BURGER KING® restaurant employee in the South Florida community.

Burger King Corp. will sponsor a Habitat for Humanity home in Miami's Overtown neighborhood for a team member. This is the second time in recent months that the company has supported a Habitat for Humanity home; in July, Burger King Corp. sponsored a home in Liberty City for a local family, which was recently completed.

Burger King Corp. executives, Armando Jacomino, president, Latin America & Caribbean region, and Ivette Diaz, director of corporate social responsibility will join other company employees for a commemoration event at the home construction site on Oct. 28, 2009.

"Burger King Corp. is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we work and live. We are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami to make home ownership a reality for a member of our BURGER KING® family," Diaz said.

Approximately 250 Burger King Corp. employees are volunteering and working on the construction of the homes. Additionally, the company recently presented Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami with a $75,000 contribution. Habitat for Humanity uses donations toward costs associated with building homes, such as purchasing land and building materials.

"Burger King Corp. is a dedicated partner, building not only one home, but two homes, for deserving members of our community," said Anne Manning, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. "By underwriting the building costs of these two houses and its continuing employee involvement, Burger King Corp. is truly committed to making these homes affordable for the homeowners."

Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami has built more than 700 homes in low-income neighborhoods in Miami, including Liberty City, Overtown and Little Haiti.
