What attracted me to BKC

BKC offered me the opportunity to fast track my career due to their meritocratic culture. When I joined I was given much more responsibility than most other MBA level opportunities. BKC believes in the candidates that they hire, and expects them to immediately begin addressing the company’s most difficult challenges.

My career path so far

I began by running our Delivery team. After a few months I was asked to step in and run our Market Planning team in the North America Development group. After having worked in that role for ~1 year, I was presented a new challenge, which was to manage all new development in North America.

My view on the BKC culture

Meritocratic, high energy, fast-moving, motivated, and exciting!

My most rewarding moments working at BKC

One of the most rewarding times for me at BKC has been getting trained in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Methodology, and applying that training to one of BKC’s five Green Belt projects. It was a great opportunity for me to personally develop, but to also take on one of the largest challenges in all of North America. It was a high visibility, high impact project that allowed me to not only determine how to solve this challenge, but to go out and implement the changes that I suggested.

My advice if you’re thinking of applying to BKC

If you believe in meritocracy and get excited by the idea of immediately owning a high impact work stream, then this is a great place to join! Burger King Corporation will push you to develop faster than you may be prepared for, but that is because they believe that all of the employees they hire are ready for great things.

How I bring it to BKC every day

I come in every morning excited due to the national impact of my team’s work stream and motivated to do everything in my power to help my team hit their targets.
