What attracted me to BKC
Meritocracy and accountability attracted me to BKC. You simply cannot get the same type of ownership on projects at other companies that you can get at BKC.
My career path so far
After my rotations in the Leadership Development Program, I was given a final placement in my second rotation of Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB). After a full 12 months in ZBB I was promoted to be the Manager of North America Market Planning where I spent 10 months before transitioning to GBS to run the Marketing Finance Tower as a Sr. Manager. After 8 months, I started helping Tim Hortons on a project involving Marketing Finance. Shortly after concluding my project I was approached to take my current position as Director of ZBB & Marketing Finance. This was such an amazing opportunity that I could not pass up and so I decided to move to Toronto to work for Tim Hortons.
What I'm most looking forward to at Tim Hortons
Leading my team and helping them individually as we go above and beyond to accomplish our results.
My view on the BKC culture
BKC is a determined and active culture. Everyone works on multiple projects but is able to have fun and make good friendships at the same time.
My most rewarding moments working at BKC
My most rewarding moment has been working with the Divisional Vice Presidents and their field teams to create a five year plan to grow the BURGER KING® brand in the U.S., and then seeing my hard work come to life with every opening we worked hard to get.
My advice if you’re thinking of applying to BKC
I tell everyone who asks me to keep an open mind and work as hard as you can wherever you are to prove yourself. Down the road you will have people coming to you wanting you on their team, and you will reap the reward of all your hard work and results.
How I bring it to BKC every day
I treat every day like a new day where I need to prove myself. I try and accomplish one task each day that I am proud of.
