What attracted me to BKC
BKC was an attractive opportunity because of its culture, which prides itself on ownership and meritocracy. I knew it would be a place where everyone’s contributions are rewarded and don’t go unnoticed.
My career path so far
I started at BKC through the Leadership Development Program in 2013, where I spent several months in the restaurants and then went through corporate rotations in both the Global Finance and Management & Learning departments. At the conclusion of the rotation period, I was placed in Global Finance where I have been since the beginning of 2014.
My view on the BKC culture
Ownership is the word that comes to mind. There are so many opportunities to learn, to be challenged, and to contribute to the success of the company – all of which requires an ownership mindset to quickly respond and adapt to new opportunities when they arise.
My most rewarding moments working at BKC
I think my most rewarding moment working at BKC was completing the Leadership Development Program – in a matter of a few months, I had the opportunities to learn what it takes to run a BURGER KING® restaurant as well as manage the finances of a global corporation by working closely with restaurant team members and senior management alike. It was a humbling experience to get to see the dedicated efforts of so many people working to make BKC great.
My advice if you’re thinking of applying to BKC
There are so many different opportunities to learn and challenge yourself at BKC. It is a great place to grow personally and professionally, since responsibility is granted very quickly.
How I bring it to BKC every day
At BKC, we have a strong sense of empowerment by setting aggressive goals for the company and ourselves. I know that in order for BKC to achieve its challenging targets, I have to give my best effort on a daily basis and learn to grow beyond my current abilities in order to contribute to the success of my company.
